WOLF DUPEYRON – PARURES ET LAYETTE I

FUNDRAISING

OUR FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN HAS STARTED!  GOAL: 5000 USD / 6125 CAD AND CURRENTLY AT 89%

To keep our Library up and running, we hold a fundraising campaign from September to December.

This is the link to the donation button: Donate to keep the Antique Pattern Library running!

If you can’t afford to donate, but would like to help the Antique Pattern Library, introducing the Library to people who don’t know of it yet, is very useful, since it broadens our user base and therefore also our future donor base. Blogs, Tiktok, Instagram, Pinterest, Ravelry, Facebook, other social media – show others your favorite publications and what you made using them. Our work is only useful when people actually use it!

If that is not possible either, just enjoy our new publications either for inspiration or for your own work!

NEW PUBLICATION

J-NK002 Wolf & Dupeyron – Parures et Layette I
Very rare Wolf Dupeyron album, around 1920, 40 pages not including covers. Three pages with overview of clothing patterns, 37 pages with whitework , openwork, tulle embroidery and a few cross-stitch patterns, together with small illustrations of ladies and children shown wearing clothing with the applied embroidery. Some braiding patterns and a few religious motifs. Even a small tulle-embroiderd slipper top.
Scans donated by Nettie Kraaij, edited by Sytske Wijnsma.

This book is originally printed in brown ink on light brown paper. For ease of printing and copying it has been reduced to black and white, only the covers have an approximation of the original paper color.

Wolf Duypeyron published more albums that have a serial number 1, never to be followed by a number 2. That’s a pity because the lingerie patterns and embroidery are truly lovely and a testimony to the attention paid even to the unmentionables. The illustrations date this publication as around 1920, especially as this publication is not mentioned in the earlier albums of Wolf Dupeyron, where they listed their other albums, in order to interest buyers in buying more books.
