FUNDRAISING

OUR FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN HAS STARTED!  GOAL: 5000 USD / 6125 CAD AND CURRENTLY AT 91%

To keep our Library up and running, we hold a fundraising campaign from September to December.

This is the link to the donation button: Donate to keep the Antique Pattern Library running!

If you can’t afford to donate, but would like to help the Antique Pattern Library, introducing the Library to people who don’t know of it yet, is very useful, since it broadens our user base and therefore also our future donor base. Blogs, Tiktok, Instagram, Pinterest, Ravelry, Facebook, other social media – show others your favorite publications and what you made using them. Our work is only useful when people actually use it!

If that is not possible either, just enjoy our new publications either for inspiration or for your own work!

NEW PUBLICATION

Crocheted Spiderweb Centerpiece made of diamond-shaped spiderweb motifs, Charleston Garden Afghan made of crocheted square motifs with central flower, Girl’s Crochet Jacket, Tatted and Crocheted Edges, Round Tatted Collar, crocheted Checker Board Edging, Aunt Elle’s Club Notes about indoor gardening, article about metalcraft, knitted Cable Stitch Cap for a child with a pom pom at the top, and many advertisements.
From the collection of Sarah Dalton, scanned by Seya Wijnsma-Spek, edited by Sytske Wijnsma. Published with kind permission of F+W Media, the current copyright holder.

Again crochet predominates this Workbasket, but the metalwork and indoor gardening items are both of interest to not-needleworkers. I think that in those times with scarce resources the tin cans that food came in, would be the first material to use. Can you imagine the hammering and grinding that the other members of the household would have to endure before the first bowl or tray would have been proudly presented?
