Who knew the cat ears on headdress or cap dated back to the nineteen forties? There’s also a beautiful tatted block with 3D flowers, and the knitted carriage robe could easily be extended to make a light and warm house plaid. Among the smaller items the crocheted tie-up closure for blouses or dresses would certainly draw attention on otherwise bland textiles, and the advantage is there’s never a button to sew on, nor buttonholes that tear out, and the closure will accommodate some width changes. You might even make a whole row of them and run a lace through as is done with RenFaire bodices.
